Vivo X Fold5 Review Starts Now – Stay Tuned

Vivo X Fold5

The Vivo X Fold5 is on its way to a few international markets! The phone is the replacement for the Vivo X Fold3 and X Fold3 Pro. The X Fold5 is probably going to be the vanilla and Pro in one, and there won’t be an X Fold4.

A 90W charger, a case, and a USB-A to USB-C cable are included with the Vivo X Fold5.

Vivo X Fold5

Vivo pushed the boundaries with the X Fold5’s design. It is thinner than its predecessor, measuring 4.3 vs. 5.2 mm when open and 9.2 vs. 11.2 mm when folded. There is a significant difference. At 224 grams, the new phone weighs less than the old one, which weighed 236 grams.

With an IP rating of IP58/IP59+, the X Fold5 is now dust protected. Although it’s not entirely dust-tight—an IP68 rating would indicate that—it’s still better than its predecessor, which lacked formal dust protection.

The specifications of the cover screen and the inner screen are nearly the same: they are both LTPO 120Hz 10-bit panels, measuring 6.53 inches and 8.03 inches, respectively. However, the theoretical peak brightness of the cover screen is higher at 5,500 nits.

The Vivo X Fold5 takes a slight detour from its predecessor in terms of camera. The primary 50MP camera has a smaller 1/1.56-inch sensor (as opposed to 1/1.3-inch) and a brighter f/1.6 lens. With a different 15mm f/2.1 lens and the same-sized sensor, the ultrawide angle still features phase detect autofocus.

The zoom camera’s sensor is similar to that of its predecessor (50MP 1/1.95-inch vs. 64MP 1/2.0-inch), but it has a zoomier lens (85mm f/2.6 vs. 70mm f/2.6).

Additionally, Vivo upgraded the battery by 5%, making it a 6,000mAh device. Additionally, there’s a new custom button in the top right corner of the phone that can flick on the flash and switch between vibration and ring mode.

The quality of book-style foldables keeps improving! From left to right, these three devices—the Honor Magic V5, the Vivo X Fold5, and the Galaxy Z Fold7, which has finally caught up to the competition in terms of hardware—may be the best available.
