iPhone 17
There was a rumor a while back that the next iPhone 17 would have the same Apple A18 chip as the one that came before it. However, Jeff Pu, an analyst at GF Securities, is now reversing his earlier assertion and anticipating that the iPhone 17 will actually come equipped with the brand-new Apple A19 chip. This new chip is also expected to power the iPhone 17 Air, making the iPhone 17 lineup even more exciting.
It looks like you won’t get more RAM on the base iPhone New 17. According to Pu’s most recent report, the device will once again have 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM. It is anticipated that the other two iPhone New 17 series models will have 12GB of RAM, while the 17 Air will have the same LPDDR5 speeds. Faster LPDDR5X RAM will be available for the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max in the interim.
There are also rumors that Apple’s in-house Wi-Fi 7 chip will be included in the entire iPhone New 17 series. Although it won’t be of the LTPO variety (known as Promotion in Apple parlance) like the Pro series, the vanilla model is anticipated to offer a larger 6.3-inch OLED and possibly a 120Hz refresh rate. According to the most recent rumor, Apple is scheduled to introduce the iPhone New 17 series on September 8.
