Huawei Pura 80 Ultra
After our hands-on experience with the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra, it’s time for an unboxing at the office.
The phone comes with a SIM tool, a cable, a pretty case, and a 100W charger with USB-A and USB-C ports.
The case’s sides are glossy and a little slick, but the back panel is textured. They make the phone a little challenging to pick up from a table because of their contoured edge, which matches the phone’s.
The display is truly amazing. Despite its size, it feels incredibly comfortable to swipe on because of the tapered edges on all sides. Additionally, the bezels are extremely thin.
The Prestige Gold is our Huawei Pura 80 Ultra unit. Depending on the lighting, it can appear silvery and is not a strong gold color.
The Pura 80 Ultra feels very heavy when you first pick it up. Its massive camera island also makes it poorly balanced. However, the Pura 80 Ultra doesn’t feel heavier or larger in the hand when compared to the Vivo X200 Ultra. In actuality, it is only marginally smaller than Vivo’s Ultra, even though it has a larger camera island.
We adore the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra’s camera island design. Your fingers will easily slide over it because of its steep curve and rounded edges. It doesn’t have the Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s or Vivo X200 Ultra’s knurled metal edge that resembles a camera lens.
Touching the camera island is calming in some way!
At last, the physical transition between the 3.7x and 10x zooms is palpable! In a way, the phone and the physical sensation work together, with the phone making a slight swooshing sound to either enhance or conceal the physical sensation. This editor thinks it improves the movement, but it won’t be to everyone’s taste. You should feel, not hide, the beauty of this phone’s intricate telephoto module!
Our reviewers will now receive the Pura 80 Ultra; watch this space for their conclusions!
