Honor MagicBook Art 14
You might have read about the Honor MagicBook Art 14, the super-skinny laptop of Honor that has a remarkable 14.6-inch OLED screen and weighs 1kg. We have checked the 2024 model with Intel and Snapdragon setup and liked it!
We have a new model in 2025 so now we should look at what it is. It might not appear much different, but in a number of ways it is improved. We should get the unboxing out of the way before we proceed to discuss them.
Honor MagicBook Art 14 2025 is available in Mocha Brown, Sunrise White and Emerald Green and begins at £1,499.99 (€1,699). Again, there is only one configuration 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD and Core Ultra 7 255H.
So what’s new with the 2025 model? First off is the SoC. It is a Series 2 Intel core ultra processor and it is a huge improvement over the 155H in the previous-gen model. Still using 16 physical cores, the processor has the ability now to jump to higher speeds up to 5.1GHz (vs. 4.8GHz) turbo and has an increased general clock speed of 2.0GHz (vs 1.4GHz).
The chipset is itself a whole generation later, with TSMCs N3B – a 3nm node and an enormous leap up in generation compared to the 7nm of its predecessor.
Two things are improved – the display is more luminous, with up to 1,600 nits (from 700) and a new anti-reflective finishing, which is definitely visible (not that the old model was too reflective).
Other improvements of course, but important also is that Honor retained what made the previous generation good. It is a slightly under half an inch OLED laptop that is lighter than almost all of its mainstream competitors.
And Honor did not do this with low quality or dainty materials – no, titanium alloy keyboard, aerospace grade magnesium body and aluminum cooling fans were used in the Honor MagicBook Art 14.
The outcome is beautiful, well-textured and unique in a number of ways! Ok, now have to start going back and reviewing it, stay tuned!
