Samsung S26 Ultra Surprising Change

According to a rumor that surfaced a few days ago, Samsung’s next Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to increase its charging capacity from the 45W that its predecessors have been stuck at to 65W.

That is contradicted by a new report released today that is based on code from One UI 8. The S26 Ultra will only support 60W wired charging if this information is correct.

Samsung S26 Ultra Surprising Change Although it’s not much of a difference compared to 65W, it’s still a considerable improvement over 45W. It should be noted that other sources do assert that the S26 Ultra’s cell will actually remain at 5,000 mAh like its predecessor’s, with the faster charging support allegedly making up for that. The previously mentioned rumor also stated that the phone would receive a 5,500 mAh battery, which would be 10% larger than the S25 Ultra’s.

Despite the fact that all of this sounds rather unclear, one thing is evident: the S26 Ultra will undoubtedly fall short in terms of battery capacity and charging speed. It will be far outperformed by its Chinese rivals in both areas. What else is new?
