Google Search AI Mode Gets A Bunch Of New Features Again, Google has changed the AI Mode in Search today. Complex image-related questions can be asked now in desktop browsers (which was only available in the Google app), and “in the coming weeks” one will be able to upload PDFs to AI Mode and ask detailed questions about them. The AI Mode will analyze the contents of your file and cross-reference it with different, appropriate information on the web, and serve you an assisting AI response, with some well-highlighted links, Google explains. They will support more file types in the months to come.

This feature “enables you to create plans and gather info over several sessions in a dynamic side panel that stays up to date as you go”. AI Mode will assemble things in the Canvas panel and you can use follow-ups to tweak it until it does the job for you. Upload is in the works to let you add context from files. Canvas is coming “in the coming weeks” to users in the US participating in the AI Mode Labs experiment.

Google Search AI Mode Gets A Bunch Of New Features. Search Live itself is currently undergoing the addition of video input, but it is also built-in with Google Lens, hence all you need to do is, through the Google app, open Lens, and tap the Live button, and ask what you want, and point the camera at whatever subject. Here you can freely chat with Search in AI Mode and it can help you by providing the visual context based on using your live camera. It is launching on mobile in the US today in the AI Mode Labs experiment.

With Lens and AI Mode in Chrome, you can ask and learn about what you see on your desktop screen whether it is a web page, PDF, or whatever you are browsing in the Chromeweb browser. After a short period, the drop down menu that displays when you click on the address bar in the Chrom web browser will show a new item which reads, Ask Google about this page. Once, you do ask it a question, though, you will have an AI Overview with a snapshot in the side panel, and under “this week” you can go further and keep asking other questions using AI Mode, by clicking AI Mode on the Lens search results page, or by clicking Dive deeper on the bottom of the AI Overview.
