WhatsApp Testing Quick Recap To Summarize Multiple Chats

WhatsApp

WhatsApp revealed last month that the “Message Summaries” feature, which lets users condense unread messages in chats, was now stable. WhatsApp is working on a new feature called “Quick Recap” that will enable users to summarize messages from multiple conversations at once, as the current feature only works with one chat at a time.

Users will be able to condense messages in up to five conversations using the Quick Recap feature, according to the people at WABetaInfo. Simply choose the chats in the Chats tab, tap the three-dot menu icon in the upper-right corner, and then select “Quick Recap.”

According to WABetaInfo, Quick Recap generates message summaries using Meta’s Private Processing technology, just like Message Summaries. This ensures that neither the original messages nor the message summaries can be read by outside parties, including WhatsApp or Meta.

Additionally, Quick Recap is optional and disabled by default, just like Message Summaries. Additionally, Quick Recap is unable to summarize chats that are protected by “Advanced chat privacy.”

This feature was discovered by WABetaInfo in WhatsApp for Android beta version 2.25.21.12. However, because the Quick Recap feature is still in development, you won’t be able to use it even if you are using this version. In the next updates, it ought to be accessible to beta testers before a stable release is made available to everyone.
